Steve Wexler was born in Baltimore, Maryland and started visiting the Longboat Key-Sarasota area as a young child. His relatives, active in the burgeoning business community, introduced him to the charms of the area and Steve was hooked. He moved to Longboat in his mid-20s and began a successful career with Arvida Realty Sales Ltd, the largest real estate developer in Florida at the time. During his 16 years at Arvida, Steve gained a deep knowledge of residential real estate in general and the Longboat Key-Sarasota area in particular. During this time, he also grew to understand that an exceptional buying or selling experience for customers required more than market expertise. It also requires relationships built upon transparency, careful listening and trust.
Steve left Arvida to found Waterside Property Sales, Inc. Waterside operated as a boutique firm known to be home to an elite group of successful real estate professionals. The firm grew to build its fine reputation of integrity and professionalism. Years later, Steve acquired Arvida Realty Sales Ltd and purchased their operations in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The firm quickly grew to have three locations and established its role as a major player in the Longboat Key and Sarasota real estate market by dominating the luxury condominium market on Longboat Key, as well as the waterfront home market on Bird Key.
Steve then sold Waterside to the parent company of a national real estate firm and focused his efforts as a consultant to top developers in Florida and the Caribbean. Drawn back to his real love of helping people find homes that best fit their dreams, or sell properties so they can comfortably move to new stages in life, Steve assumed his current position at Premier Sotheby's International Realty.
